Pros
+Dream Eater Ally Mechanic and Reality Shift mechanics are a breath of fresh air to the series adding to the overall gameplay experience
+New worlds never seen in the series are introduced
+Chronicles section which is heavy text form explains previous events of games incase the player never played any of the games or want to review over the story
+Detailed bestiary, treasure list, character profile, etc
+Touchscreen controls are used a lot for different types of gameplay reasons
+Visuals are nicely done and looks as great as the other console KH games

Cons
-Camera control and Point of view is limited due to the buttons and screen size
-Control layout of the 3DS makes the experience a bit difficult especially when navigating through skills/abilities in battle, etc
-Some of the touchscreen events are annoying especially during certain boss battles or key events
-Dive system can be frustrating especially if you are trying to get to a world to enjoy classic KH gameplay
-Drop system can be annoying especially if you are in a boss battle, if you drop and then come back to that character later - the boss battle resets

A flawed but great episode
After the awesome Birth By Sleep and the good Re:Coded episodes, Kingdom Hearts series adds a new entry focused on the Mark of Mastery exam for Sora and Riku. Both characters have similar gameplay, but each has his own exclusive skills and fusion abilities.

The graphics are almost on par with KH2 and the stereo 3D effet is quite nice.

The battle system modifications, like Flow Motion, make the game really fun but sadly the Command Based system from BBS has been scrapped.

The game features only 7 worlds but most of them are new and longer than the ones in BBS. Proud Mode is probably the best difficulty for KH series veterans, it isn't even that hard. I finished the game in around 32 hours, which is quite good and on par with previous games in the series.

One of the main complains of older KH games, the awful camera, still hasn't been fixed in this game. Using the Circle Pad Pro may fix that.

Story wise, it's as convoluted as ever, or even more. KH plot is hit or miss, but I personaly love it.

You also love or hate the Pokemon-like elements related to the Dream Eaters you must grow to gain new skills.

I feel this is a great game overall, but not as good as Birth By Sleep.
